December 2012
Groups from the Youth and Junior Bands were out carolling during the last two weeks of December.

On the 16th December, the annual concert arranged by the cheshire area committee of the co-operative group took place at The Centre Stage Theatre in Crewe. The Youth, Junior and Beginner Bands filled the first half with festive music and the co-operative Funeralcare Band entertained  a capacity audience in the second Half. As usual the Concert was very well received.

Joint concert with the Bostock Singers, Sunday 9th December

The Youth Band took part in a joint Concert with The Bostock Singers from Hartford. Our webmaster Phil Walsh sings with the choir, and daughter Rosie plays sax in the Youth Band. This proved to be one of the best Joint concerts we have taken part in. Both groups had a spot in the first half and then a real pot pourri of Christmas music filled the second half with joint numbers and audience participation.
This is a Concert we would like to repeat in 2013 but would hope for a larger audience to enjoy real quality live music!
Well done Youth Band - you played exceptionally well.

Friday 7th December
proved to be a very busy evening with 2 groups of The Youth Band out.
A group of Brass players provided the music for The Light Up a Life service in Sandbach for St Luke's Hospice.
This has become an annual event & means a lot to the local people who come to remember their loved ones.

Also, that same evening another Group of Youth Band players entertained the residents of Willowmere Extra Care Development in Middlewich. This was our 2nd visit - the 1st having been in May. The Band played well & all present enjoyed the evening.

Asda Crewe

On Saturday 1st December
2 groups of the Youth Band entertained shoppers outside Asda
in Crewe & on Sunday 2nd December 2 groups of the Youth Band played at The Celtic Market
on the Broughton Retail Park in Chester. This was a new event for us & as well as there being
a Retail Park there were over 100 stalls in the marquees for a bit more retail therapy!

Hazelmere, Winsford.

On Friday the 30th November
